Control of a Photovoltaic (PV) Array with Differential Power Processing Converters

Abstract

The effect of partial solar irradiance of solar panels on the development of this field is that it increases power losses and even damages panels via hotspots. A novel scheme in differential power processing (DPP) known as the SeriesParallel DPP scheme that boosts voltage and current. Additionally, this scheme processes a small portion of its output power from photovoltaic panels. This paper anaylsis each converter in the Series-Parallel (SP) scheme in more detail. There are numerous control techniques, but this paper will analyze the circuit and select the controller parameters using mathematical equations, which is referred to as advanced control system.
