The effect of fusidic acid on biofilm formation, toxin gene expression, and toxin production of Staphylococcus aureus Saur09
Abstract
In conclusion, in the current project, Saur09 was susceptible to Fusidic acid, and was shown to have bacteriostatic effects with no log reduction in the cell viability. The examined strain was shown to be a moderate biofilm former and positive for expression of tst gene that encodes for toxic shock syndrome toxin (TSST toxins). In meanwhile sub-MIS of Fusidic acid was shown significantreduction of TSST toxin production.
