The holy Quran is a sacred text and a basic knowledge resource for all Muslims. The Quran is written in a classical rich Arabic language that conveys very deep meanings. Many verses in the Quran are related to each other and may have similarities in their meaning. To measure the similarity and the relatedness between the verses based on their meaning, the semantics of each verse must be featured. There are some researches that had presented the semantics of the Quran in unstructured or semi-structured knowledge bases; however, there is no such structured resource. The aim of this project is to build a structured semantic Quran knowledge base to be an available resource for text mining and machine learning tools and to make it easier for researchers to explore the semantic similarity and relatedness measures.
