Theoretical Evaluation of MOF Coated Membranes for Water Treatment
Abstract
Employing MOFs in water reclamation filtration membranes is the focal point here,
with a basic discussion of the permeability, selectivity trade-off and membrane fouling.
The principal configurations of MOF based filtering membranes, along with their
production procedures will be discussed. Likewise, their effect on the performance of
filtration membranes will subsequently be highlighted, with MOF-boosted antifouling
membranes, highly permeable membranes, adsorptive membranes and catalytic
membranes being illustrated sequentially.
The objectives of the research will be to:• Analyse the different water treatment stages
• Identify the components of the water treatment method that determine
performance
• Realising opportunities for the application of MOF in different stages or
elements of water treatment
