In the present review, various methods of increasing the bond strength between the bracket and ceramic restoration were critically analyzed. Further high-quality research in this area would be helpful to clarify the respective merits of the legion of methods. It was observed that an appropriate protocol for increasing bond strength was etching with 9.6% hydrofluoric acid for 1 minute, then rinsing for 30 seconds and then air drying followed by application of silane. An alternate method for creating surface roughness due to the ill effects of hydrofluoric acid that may be considered is intraoral sand blasting followed by application of silane.
