DNA Damage and Repair in Bacteria
Abstract
Though DNA damage occurs in all organisms including bacteria, the DNA repair process is critical for cell survival. Against this prime, this study sought is structured into five chapters. Chapter one covers the introduction and examines the chemical strengths and weaknesses of DNA, chapter two explores the various types of DNA damage, chapter three gives an in-depth view of the DNA repair mechanisms. Further, chapter four examines the genetic regulation of DNA repair in bacteria while chapter five explores the threats to bacterial genome stability.
