This report discusses the possible methods to harvest energy and compares them. Trying to find the best harvesting solution that suits the pipe water flow meter system, it focused on Thermoelectric Generator harvesting and its efficiency improvement. To supply reliable energy sources for the system. Different experimentation and addition were made to achieve the best results. It also compares the performance of different Thermoelectric Energy Generator types, Pipes, and energy management units. Moreover, it focuses on the energy management unit that boosts the harvested energy and stores it using the required methods. It compares between different boards to choose the essential parts that best manages the harvested energy. Lastly, it shows the successful result for providing sufficient energy from a low-temperature difference to power the device. After accomplishing this, the water metering device is upgraded to a sustainable self-powered system.
