Abstract

This paper aims to answer the question: Why did states pursue different responses to the COVID-19 outbreak? It will discuss the differences between the US and Canada's responses to the COVID-19 pandemic with reliable evidence. I believe it is essential to investigate how and why these two countries implemented different healthcare and economic policies to control the spread of COVID-19 and address public health, healthcare, and economic problems that emerged due to the pandemic, despite having major similarities.
