Abstract

This consultancy report explores strategies for expanding the global reach of the Saudi film industry through strategic partnerships, with a focus on Movitaz Entertainment. Movitaz, a film production company operating in Saudi Arabia and Los Angeles, aims to promote Saudi films internationally but faces challenges in global marketing and attracting foreign collaborators. The study identifies key industry trends, government incentives, and international case studies, emphasizing the role of streaming platforms such as Netflix in boosting film industries worldwide. A mixed-method research approach, including surveys of film professionals, highlights the importance of digital marketing, international collaborations, and streaming platforms in increasing visibility. Findings reveal low awareness of Saudi films among global audiences and limited knowledge of government incentives among industry stakeholders. Based on these insights, the report recommends that Movitaz form a strategic partnership with Netflix to co-produce Saudi films and engage in collaborations with international filmmakers and distributors. These initiatives align with Vision 2030’s cultural expansion goals and will help increase awareness, boost domestic production, and drive revenue growth for Saudi filmmakers.
