Modelling of vaporisation during laser-based manufacturing

Abstract

This dissertation presents a review of vaporisation mechanisms in the process of laser welding, the influence of vaporisation on the properties of welded joints, and vaporisation models found in the literature, incorporating brief descriptions and further review of the existing models.
