Abstract
This study explores the relationship between the physical work environment and employee job satisfaction. The research investigates how the quality of the physical work environment, Saudi-specific cultural factors, and the improvement of the workplace space design impacts employees' motivation, cross-cultural job experiences, and job satisfaction. The study assumes a qualitative research approach. The exploration utilizes information gathered through interviews. The data acquired in form of audios is transcribed and then recorded for references in the compilation of findings. Accordingly, the study groups its results thematically in reflection of the guiding research questions. The paper finds a connection between the quality of the physical work environment, Saudi-specific cultural factors, and the improvement of the workplace surrounding on employees' motivation, cross-cultural job experiences, and job satisfaction. The results show a positive association between the quality of the physical work environment and employee job motivation in the Saudi retail travel sector. The study identifies that cross-cultural factors during client interactions directly influence employee job experiences. The investigation also finds a link between the physical work environment space design and workers job satisfaction. The paper finds a positive relationship between well-designed spaces and employees' occupation satisfaction levels. The study provides critical managerial insights regarding employee management. The insights generated provide important managerial lessons that are well-informed, making them applicable to real-life business situations.
