This study aims to evaluate the potential benefits of blockchain technology for the logistics and supply chain management of Saudi Airlines Catering Company (SACC). The primary purpose of this research is to analyse the potential impact of blockchain technology on the evolution of fully autonomous, self-driving, and real-time logistics and supply chain management systems. A review of the relevant literature reveals that blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionise the logistics and supply management industry. Fewer fraudulent transactions, more efficiency, less paperwork, and greater transparency are some benefits it offers. Digital document management, inventory monitoring, and smart contracts are just some logistics and supply chain use cases for blockchain. Although blockchain technology might greatly improve logistics and supply chains, it has limitations. These include scalability restrictions, interoperability problems, regulatory compliance, industry-wide cooperation, and heavy investment in infrastructure and talent. Fixing these problems is crucial for a smooth rollout. This research employed qualitative methods, with the process involving creating a theoretical and conceptual framework based on the literature and a survey to gather data from supply chain firms already utilising blockchain technology. Content and thematic analysis were used for data analysis. Ethical considerations, including ensuring data confidentiality, obtaining participant consent, and ensuring the reliability of the findings, were strictly observed in the study. The findings of this study show that incorporating blockchain technology into logistics and supply chain operations greatly improves transparency, traceability, efficiency, and confidence within these operations. These findings present the strategic opportunities for integrating blockchain technology in logistics and supply chains in catering firms. The study's conclusion provides a concise overview of the main findings, emphasises the practical implications for professionals in the sector, and proposes potential directions for future research in this dynamic and expanding field.
