Title: Ensuring public cooperation through effective risk communication during pandemics: A case study of COVID-19 epidemic in Saudi Arabia
Abstract
he main aim of this research is to understand that how the future pandemics can be handled effectively in Saudi Arabia, by developing effective strategies for risk communication, considering the current situation of Covid-19 and analysing that how the citizens of Saudi Arabia are responding to government’s communication. Although the purpose of the research is not to critique Saudi Arabian government’s approach towards communicating the information and risks to the citizens during Covid-19, it particularly aims towards understanding the citizen’s behaviour as in how they responded towards government’s communication. The main objectives of this research include:

• Evaluate how Saudi citizens responded to government instructions during the Covid- 19 epidemic.
• Identify the factors that affected Saudi citizens’ responses to government instructions during the Covid-19 epidemic.
• Identify ways in which the Saudi government could enhance the possibility of closer public cooperation during pandemics like Covid-19.
