EFFECTIVENESS OF A HIPPOTHERAPY SIMULATOR (HS) IN IMPROVING BODY STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION IMPAIRMENTS AND ACTIVITY IN CHILDREN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY (CP): A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW
Abstract
There are heterogeneities in the published studies’ qualities and deficiencies in terms of high- grade article quality investigating HS's effectiveness in improving the activity levels and body structure and function outcomes for children with CP. Depending upon the findings obtained, it can be concluded that the HS might demonstrate significant improvements in the outcomes reviewed. However, there is no conclusive evidence regarding these improvements and further studies with high quality methodologies, large sample sizes and standardised intervention protocols are recommended. No study has assessed any links between HS intervention and improvements in participation for children with CP.
