Due to the overall continuously changing nature of the Saudi construction industry, the best project management methods must be prioritized in order to meet the challenges of managing infrastructure and building projects. The goal of this research is to look at the variables that have caused overruns in budgeted costs, allocated resources, and projected time in Saudi Arabia's infrastructure and construction projects over the last 20 years. The main objectives; 1. To examine the trends and problems in Saudi Arabia's infrastructure and construction projects over the last 20 years. 2. To critically analyse the factors and impact of delay and cost overrun in infrastructure and constructions projects and determine lessons learnt and best practices drawn from the analysed case studies. 3. To assess the best practices in managing delay and cost overrun in Saudi Arabia. 4. To formulate appropriate recommendations to the interested parties. In addition to that, this project bridges the gaps of the previous issues related to the infrastructure and construction projects to obtain an insight on how various factors can influence these projects and what proper advice is needed in each area.
