Abstract
Analysis of six-phase induction motors with asymmetrical winding connection and their advantages over three-phase induction motors are presented in this work. In particular, it compares six-phase motors to three-phase ones in such aspects as fault tolerance, torque output, reduction of harmonic distortion, and efficiency. This regularity of the paper identifies various aspects about six-phase motors; modeling techniques and stator winding dispositions that make them more efficient. The asymmetry and considered currents issues are considered and solved by describing such higher-level control structures as vector space decomposition and predictive current control. Future research directions in the form of sustainable materials and multiphase topologies for enhancing motor efficiency and scalability are also discussed with possible applications of six-phase motors in electric vehicles, industrial applications and renewable energy systems.
