dc.description.abstractNormal expression of CT genes is seen in the testes, ovaries, placentas, and germlines, but not in other healthy cells. These genes have been discovered to be expressed in human tumours of various histological origins, and their expression may be induced by genetic and/or epigenetic alterations, resulting in oncogenesis development. Testis expressed 19 (TEX19) is a CT gene discovered in a variety of cancer cells. Evidence suggests that TEX19 has a role in cancer cells' ability to proliferate and self-renew, and when TEX19 is depleted, cancer cells are unable to enter the S-phase and remain dormant. In this study, the detection of human TEX19 proteins and the validation of the monoclonal anti-TEX19 antibody (clone2) yielded an unexpected result: no detection of the protein TEX19 in any of the samples used by the monoclonal anti-TEX19 antibody with known cell lines expression of Tex19, indicating that we could not determine the validation of the monoclonal antibody TEX19 Clone 2.
