IMPACT OF VITAMIN C ON THE RISK OF BREAST CANCER: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW
Abstract
The impact of vitamin C consumption through dietary consumption and
supplementation on decreasing the risk of breast cancer is still inconclusive. Though
evidence related to the biological mechanisms of vitamin C for anti-cancer treatment
is supportive, the impact of vitamin C in terms of averting or decreasing the risk of
breast cancer remains unclear. Thus, further clinical trials and research studies are
needed to explicate the impact of vitamin C on the risk of breast cancer so that vitamin
C can be used to modify the propagation of breast cancer
