Abstract

The Bab al-Mandeb Strait has, for a long period, been an important economic Centre. It is considered to be the shorter route of trade between the Indian Ocean, the Mediterranean region, as well as the whole of East Asia. Research objectives include: To discuss the reasons why the Strait is strategically crucial and how secure is the maritime passage. To analyze the threats posed to the Straits by fights in the Horn of Africa and along the African Red Sea coast. To assess the Yemen war and its implications for the Strait's security. To determine the humanitarian impacts after the conflicts. This research is largely qualitative in nature because it involves gathering and analyzing text in order to understand the opinions and concepts related to Bab al-Mandab straits and the need to secure them. In this case, the study used an integrated literature review, including academic books and journal articles, government documents, reputable media outlets, peer reviews, and think-tank analyses. The stiff competition for controlling the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb Strait is the greatest contributor to regional war/fight between Iran and the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, as well as their Sunni friends and Shi'ite friends. The ports of Yemen alongside Bab al-Mandab stretch northwards along the coast to the Midi district in Yemen's North-Western Hajjah Governorate. The ports have always been a stronger marine asset for the Houthis after the eruption of civil warfare in the year 2015 and a continuous source of instability for commercial and naval trips. Yemen's uninterrupted conflicts, crisis, and overall instability, which have stressed the nation for over ten years, raise more queries about how Yemen's exceptional topography has contributed to its distress. Iran, Turkey, the UEA as well as Qatar find themselves entangled in the Yemen conflict. The hysterical war amongst the nations involved in Yemen's tragedy is the result of greed and territorial ambitions, which have demolished Yemen and might result in its disintegration. Piracy in the bordering Somalia in the HoA institutes the explicit source of instability in that area and conflict in Africa has created favourable grounds for its continuation. The political instability as well as pandemic corruption of the bordering nation, Djibouti has not been able to help either which by domestic limitations and reasons of size is provided as the entrance for profitability and exploitation Many pirate groups presently have been operating in waters of Somali. Organized mainly along clannism and based in remote and distinct port towns, the groups have diverse abilities and operational patterns, making generalized responses very hard
