Improved analysis of atom probe tomography data
Abstract
The Half-Heusler alloy (TiCuyNiSn) could play a considerable role in future because its
thermoelectric property could enable waste heat to be recycled but its efficiency still far
from energy efficiency strategies. When the composition is optimized, the thermoelectric
property could be improved. In this article, the Half-Heusler alloy (TiCuyNiSn) was
investigated by atom probe tomography where two sets of data (voltage and laser pulse)
were analyzed to find material composition and its quantities. Moreover, the Gaussian
distribution which is the basic analysis to assign the solute and the Exponentially Modified
Gaussian (EMG) were applied to the data. As result the data was successfully model and the
composition was accurately found.
