Abstract

This research applies different theories to assess the reasons why companies opt for offshoring and how their decision is likely to impact the economy back at home. This research focuses mainly on the long-term and indirect effect of offshoring in the manufacturing industry in the United States while providing slight insight into the short-term impacts.
