Elements of Social Planning to Enhance Life Experience, Literature Review
Abstract
This study seeks to identify various elements of social planning. Social planning is a process that involves communities, organisations and government groups working together for purposes of addressing different issues that face communities. Another name for social planning is community development or community social planning. To identify these elements, the study carries out a systemised literature search. Systemised literature searchers seek to include the various vital aspects of the processes of carrying out systematic reviews, detailed searches, appraisal, and synthesising the collected data. However, systematic literature searches cannot be entirely considered systematic reviews, which is due to the presence of only one reviewer in the process. The study identified three key elements of social planning; strategic planning, community participation, and finances. These elements are central to the processes of social planning.
