The recent popularity of smart wearable and portable devices represents a promising prospect for smart living. Internet of Things present these devices with a cumulative and heterogeneous data that is transferred from one device to the other. In medical field, using Asthma as a case study, there are already many smart devices in the market and many more are still on the way. Semantic modelling is key for interoperability among heterogeneous data and devices. There have been extensive efforts dedicated to modelling disease knowledge. Most of then focusing on the general level for Asthma disease. However, these promising devices need a specific knowledge and particular task to perform effectively. In this regards, this research present the development of Asthma knowledge, Ontology based modelling aimed at forming the knowledge required to facilitate using smart devices for assessing Asthma condition and helping users to decide a course of action.
