Maintenance revenue represents a growing share of income for original equipment manufacturers. As the demand for comprehensive maintenance services is ever-grows, outcomebased contracts become more prevalent. Nevertheless, these manufacturers face the challenge of delivering maintenance services without causing nuisance to their customers. Adaptive preventive maintenance offers a way of combining the benefits of condition-based maintenance and design-based preventive maintenance while mitigating their negative aspects. To address this issue, this thesis is conducted in collaboration with the case company TURBO with the goal of creating a novel digital non-intrusive turbocharger performance measurement mobile application to act as solution that facilitates the adoption of adaptive preventive maintenance on their installed high-speed turbochargers. This proposed application mainly aims to provide an instant method for rotational speed measurement of turbochargers without intervening in their operation. Additional features are also incorporated to complement their performance analysis and determine their operating points. A research genre of design science research is used as a methodology for the creation of this application. The solution requirements were collected in collaboration with stakeholders and experts from within the company. The application is tested in various settings to determine its correct functionality and limitations. Both simulations and field tests have been conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed application.
