Abstract
This business plan presents StayClose, a UK-based travel-technology start-up addressing a gap in the tourism, hospitality, and events sector: the absence of a venue-centric accommodation booking platform for live music travelers. Music tourism contributes over £10 billion annually to the UK economy and attracts more than 14 million visitors, yet existing online travel agencies remain destination-led, requiring concertgoers to manually cross-reference venues and accommodation locations (UK Music, 2024; VisitBritain, 2024).
StayClose introduces a mobile-first platform that enables users to search accommodation based on concert venues, displaying curated lodging options within walkable distance. Targeting Generation Z and Millennial travelers, the platform adopts an asset-light business model supported by affiliate partnerships with established accommodation providers. The plan evaluates market opportunity, competitive positioning, operational feasibility, and financial performance.
