Abstract
The study included three basic variables; the values of citizenship, social responsibility and Islamic intellectual security, In order to identify the level of those variables, the level of the correlation between them, the differences in them that are attributed to each of the variables of gender, the educational level of the parents, the standard of living of the family, and the academic average. It also aimed to identify the mediating role played by social responsibility and the moderating variables in the relationship between Islamic intellectual security and citizenship values. To achieve these goals, the quantitative approach, descriptive and correlation was used by preparing a questionnaire for each of the values of citizenship, social responsibility and Islamic intellectual security. Its validity for use was verified by recognizing honesty, stability, and consistency, and then applied it to 400 high school students in the Hail region, Saudi Arabia. In this study, the SPSS was used to perform arithmetic averages, standard deviations, T-test, and one way anova to identify the statistical differences in; citizenship values, social responsibility, and Islamic intellectual security, which are attributed to different demographic variables, and AMOS 23 was used to verify a set of models assumed in this study. the results indicated that the values of citizenship, social responsibility and intellectual security among secondary school students in Hail region were high. The study also showed that there is a positive correlation between the three basic variables of this study, and that there is an effect of demographic variables as moderating variables and social responsibility as a mediating variable in the relationship between Islamic intellectual security and citizenship values. This study recommended the need for pre-university education institutions to cooperate with socialization institutions to enhance the values of citizenship and Islamic intellectual security among secondary school students, in order to ensure the students’ community participation; Because of its positive role in many outcomes of the educational process, such as: academic performance, the ability to achieve school integration, and academic and self-conformity; The study also presented a set of recommendations and proposals, including: the need for the strategic plan in pre-university education institutions to include some of the goals and mechanisms to enhance intellectual security among students, and to strive towards spreading science in all its forms, especially forensic science, given that beneficial knowledge derived from the Qur’an and Sunnah represents the first line of defense Towards protecting the youth’s thought from irrational ideas and deviant currents, and the inclusion of various curricula topics on: citizenship values, social responsibility, and intellectual security, as well as striving to prepare an ethical charter between different educational institutions focusing on different values derived from the Qur’an and Sunnah, which increases The degree of students' integration into the surrounding community.
