dc.description.abstractThis research aims to analyse the effect of foreign direct investment on the economic growth in the UK and US. In this regard, the research objectives focus on examining the concept of immigration and economic growth with the help economic models and theories, current trends of immigration and economic growth, the impact of immigration on the economic development of the countries, and the impact of immigration on the economic growth of the US and UK. In order to fulfil the research objectives, both the qualitative and quantitative data have been collected. The qualitative data is gathered from the academic sources and interview method. On the other hand, quantitative data on a number of immigrants and GDP is collected from the official government reports. The quantitative data regarding these variables is collected from the year 2008 to 2018 and analysed with the help of a regression analysis. Further, interpretivism research philosophy, exploratory research design, and deductive research approach are adopted in this research.
