Abstract

Abstract The start of a new age in household technology has increased connection and emphasised user experience. In a world of rapid technological advancement, smart houses are marvels. Customers may remotely handle numerous home processes using IoT devices. This connection raises concerns about vulnerabilities, unauthorised access, and privacy. It raised significant cybersecurity issues that must be addressed. Understanding Saudi consumer cybersecurity attitudes is crucial for several reasons. It uncovers knowledge gaps and misunderstandings that might expose users to cyber dangers. The second benefit is user awareness, safety education, and security. Finally, user perception surveys may lead to smart home security and privacy laws in Saudi Arabia. The research explores smart home cybersecurity views. Saudi smart home customers' cybersecurity perceptions are examined here. Systems, device hacking, surveillance privacy invasion, and infrastructure vulnerabilities are risks. The study examines user opinions for knowledge gaps, misunderstandings, common issues, and comprehension. This study examines Saudi Arabian users' cybersecurity awareness, knowledge gaps and misconceptions, concerns, and how training programmes affect user behaviour. Surveys n=64 and Interviews n=8 collect wide data for these goals. This effort contributes much. This research helps build customised education programmes by uncovering user attitudes, misunderstandings, and concerns. Knowledge of regulations, best practises, and smart home system security helps government and industry personnel. This study informs smart home technology consumers and promotes digital safety.
