Evaluation of the impact of introducing electronic services on the students at Northern Border University in Saudi Arabia.
Abstract
Electronic services are being implemented for improving the education delivery in universities. The E-Services are being offered by many universities throughout Saudi Arabia. The ‘Northern border university’ utilizes various mediums of electronic services for students. The effectiveness and impact of the electronic services plays an important role in the quality of delivery of education.
The study presents an evaluation of the impact of e-services provided by the ‘Northern border university’. The major assessed factors are efficiency, web design, privacy, responsiveness and ease of use. The level of satisfaction of students in using the electronic services is assessed. The data collection is performed using the online questionnaires. The quantitative as well as qualitative approach was used for analyzing the obtained 400 responses. The statistical methods have been used to present the findings.
The research determined that the mentioned factors play an important role in the satisfaction of students. Overall, a positive response was obtained from majority of participants.
