dc.description.abstractThe increasing popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) has brought about a pressing need for efficient and reliable electric charging systems (1). This research focuses on the "Analysis of the Different Types of Electric Charging Systems Using MATLAB and Simulink" to gain insights into their behaviour, performance, and feasibility. The study addresses charging infrastructure challenges, charging time constraints, grid integration, and charging protocol standardization. The project aims to develop mathematical models and simulate the performance of various electric charging systems, including Level 1 charging, Level 2 charging, DC fast charging, wireless charging, and inductive charging. Using MATLAB and Simulink, the research endeavours to understand each charging system's charging behaviour, charging rates, and infrastructure requirements, which also includes a comprehensive review of existing research on electric charging systems to establish a foundation for comparison and analysis. The study emphasizes the uniqueness of combining mathematical models and simulations using MATLAB and Simulink to provide a detailed evaluation of each charging system's advantages, disadvantages, and potential improvements and also to provide valuable insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and researchers to optimize charging infrastructure and promote sustainable transportation. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the advancement of charging technologies, reduce pollution rates, and support the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. The analysis and evaluation of different charging systems will enable the development of more efficient and reliable charging infrastructure, thus catering to the growing demands of the EV market and ensuring a seamless charging experience for EV owners. As the world continues to transition towards a sustainable future, this research seeks to play a crucial role in driving the development of electric charging systems that are not only efficient and reliable but also environmentally friendly, thereby supporting the global shift towards greener transportation solutions.
