Abstract
Research has shown that the home environment has a substantial impact on children's well-being.
Previous studies have also shown that there is a strong relationship between parental conflict and
behavioural adjustment difficulties, such as aggression. In Saudi culture, which places a strong
emphasis on privacy, the nature of this relationship is still unknown. To get insights on the
relationship between parental conflict and the behaviour of kindergarten children, the researcher
conducted semi-structured interviews with kindergarten instructors. We examined their
perspective on the occurrence of aggressive behaviour, the relationship between parental conflict
and the aggressive behaviour of kindergarten children, and the methods used to alter children's
behaviour. The findings suggest that marital conflict contributes to the emergence of exterior
challenges in children, such as aggressive behaviour, as well as interior challenges such as anxiety,
restlessness, and reduced social engagement. Teachers used a successful technique to alter the
behaviour of youngsters, while the results indicated a decrease in families’ contributions to the
process of modifying their children’s behaviour. This suggests that disputes and disagreements
among parents are a strong predictor of the development of adjustment issues in kindergarten-
aged children. Considering the findings of this study, formulating policies and regulations aimed at
enhancing the home and school environment would promote the welfare of children.
