This research project is purposed to conduct an assessment of the impacts that Voice over IP (VoIP) technology trends have on the communication industry in the UK. A quantitative approach was adopted as the ideal methodology to address the research problem. Under this, the ARIMA model and regression analysis were conducted to evaluate the nature of data and assess the relationship between the variables which included the household internet penetration (HIP), the use of internet for television (T), fixed internet services (FIS), mobile voice and data (MVD), fixed voice (FV), and mobile cellular subscriptions (MCS). A correlation analysis was conducted on the variables based on data collected from 2005 to 2018. The results indicated the existence of a positive and negative correlation between the data variables, with a higher percentage having significance. The augmented Dickey-Fuller test was also conducted on the data variables revealing the absence of a unit root which meant the data was stationary. Further assessment using the ARIMA model affirmed the absence of a unit root which indicated that the data were stationary. On the other hand, the assessment of regression yielded to the existence of positive coefficients between the dependent variable and FIS, MVD, as well as FV. Lastly, the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variables THEC as well as MCS had a negative coefficient.
