Abstract
Emerging smart technologies offer immense scope for diverse innovative applications in all spheres of life, but their increased development and deployment has been accompanied by a commensurate increase in various kind of risks, including electronic crimes. Studies are needed to explore protective and preventive measures to mitigate such risks, including in emerging economies and technology contexts like Saudi Arabia.
Description
This study comprises five chapters. The first chapter provides a brief introduction and background of the research topic and the aim and study objectives. The second chapter focuses on the literature reviews that provide a clear understanding of the relations between modern technology and cybercrime rates, addresses literature based on the preferred methodology, and offers a theoretical approach to the research question. The third chapter presents a methodology of the study applied in answering the research questions and objectives of this research, and justifies the systematic review research methodology deployed. Furthermore, the chapter explains the data collection and analysis methods. The fourth chapter presents and discusses the findings of the review, while the fifth and final chapter concludes the study, providing some recommendations arising from its outcomes.
