Abstract
This study aims to examine individual readiness for Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation in project management within the context of King Fahad Military Medical Complex (KFMMC), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Using a quantitative cross-sectional research design, data were collected from 240 project management personnel and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings revealed that technological perception of AI and perceived leadership support significantly and positively influence individual readiness for AI implementation. Trust in AI was also found to have a strong positive effect on readiness and played a significant mediating role in the relationships between technological perception, leadership support, and individual readiness. The structural model demonstrated substantial explanatory power (R² = 0.54). The study contributes to the literature by validating the mediating role of trust in AI and provides practical insights for healthcare organizations seeking to enhance AI adoption through improved leadership support, positive technological perceptions, and stronger trust in AI systems.
