Abstract
The Saudi media is usually described as conservative because of the government's conservative approach. However, since King Salman came to power, various changes have occurred in the kingdom's approach. These changes included the media sector. This dissertation argues that there is a new trend for the Saudi government by adopting more liberal media policy to display government officials on television. Through the use of the content analysis method, it was concluded that the Saudi government followed this trend in displaying government officials on television in order to enhance a sense of patriotism among Saudi citizens.
