dc.description.abstract | This research was aimed at exploring the effects of psychological capital on subjective well-being through the unique mechanism that is psychological well-being. To this end, the level of psychological capital and well-being amongst entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia were investigated, the nature of the relationship between psychological capital and subjective well-being was examined and the role of psychological well-being in this association was explored. Data were collected via a survey administered to the Saudi entrepreneurs, and a mediation model was developed and tested following the approach of Kenny and Baron. The results showed that high-level psychological capital leads to increased psychological well-being, which in turn, positively affects the subjective well-being of the entrepreneurs. Psychological well-being fully mediates the relationship between psychological capital and subjective well-being. The findings suggested that augmenting subjective well-being levels necessitates enhancing psychological well-being and its antecedents. | |
