The Yemen conflict and the role of the Houthi rebels in sustaining the conflict
Abstract
This research aims focuses on the Yemen civil war. It investigates the role of the Houthi rebels in the Yemen conflict and how likely they are to play a role in sustaining the conflict. based on This will be accomplished through the qualitative element of inductivism, which is based on the assumption that knowledge accumulates inductively from examination. Following the methodological procedures employed and the theoretical framework that used to connect these ideas which include the social identity and the revolution theory. For any state, rebellious groups are a source of apprehension. Thus, in Yemen, the Al-Houthi rebels pose a threat to the government that perceives itself as being recognised by the international community. Based on the Houthi rebel's ideology this study will describe the reflection of their military activities on regional stability and the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the international efforts to reach peace and settlement in Yemen. Moreover, it will show the role of the state and non-state actors in the Yemen conflict. To reach the result of the role of the Houthi rebels in the Yemen conflict and how likely they are to play a role in sustaining the conflict.
