The proliferation in the use of renewable energy sources introduces the need to find suitable solutions to install solar photovoltaic systems. This paper investigates selected solar panel modules and the design considerations involved in the installation of a 1MW solar farm in Saudi Arabia at the Jouf University campus. The simulation software PV*SOL will be used for modelling the design concepts. Satellite images, dimensions, and scales will be obtained using Google Earth Pro and used for modelling the design concepts. To determine how the solar farm will impact the surrounding area, including the university campus, several concepts were tested in relation to environmental impact, financial feasibility, electrical output, and efficiency.
