Abstract

In this study, we discuss the economic impacts of colonial rule on former colonies. We investigated that by comparing their economic development to those who were never colonized. The paper uses a carefully selected dataset covering several decades and countries, exploring important variables such as academic achievement, oppressive labor legacies, and natural resources in detail. Although the research is conscious that there may be data gaps, especially in earlier years, it preserves transparency in data management. Finding out how former colonial associations have impacted the present economic condition for a country is the major objective. The study deepens the discussion on the later economic progress by providing intuitive information on the link between past activities and current economic outcomes.
