DESIGN IN THE PRODUCT SUPPLY CHAIN

Abstract

This thesis investigates the relation between product design and the supply chain from the current literature using a systematic literature review (SLR) method. It is found that the design of the product has a major impact on the supply chain, and it can influence the supply chain risk, supply chain agility and supply chain sustainability. This thesis proposes several strategies for integrating the supply chain in the product design along with suggestions for future research.
