Abstract
This study aimed to audit pre- and post-operative nursing interventions provided to patients undergoing abdominal surgery at Al-Qurayyat General Hospital, Saudi Arabia. A descriptive cross-sectional design was used with a sample of 30 nurses. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS. Results showed high overall compliance (≈90%), with strong adherence to safety measures, but lower compliance in early ambulation, pain assessment, and discharge education. No significant relationship was found between demographic variables and compliance. The study recommends regular audits and targeted training to improve holistic patient care and adherence to ERAS protocols.
