The United Nation’s Security Council and The Israeli Settlement of The West Bank - Reshaping the UNSC’s role on account of International Law

Abstract

The gist of this study is to argue that the UNSC's actions towards the Israeli settlements in the West Bank have not been abiding by international law. This dissertation will focus on how and where the Israeli settlements violate Palestinian's rights through secondary research. Additionally, it discredits the efforts made by the UNSC in annihilating this phenomenon and puts forward amendments that adhere to international law, thus demonstrating the possibility of a more high-yielding role that the UNSC could apply.
