Effect of treatments on Demineralisation at Erosive Conditions
Abstract
Dental erosion is irreversible loss of the dental hard tissue surface caused by the exposure to extrinsic and intrinsic Acid. Dental erosion is multifactorial condition influenced by chemical, biological, and behavioural factors.
The success of these preventive approaches is highly dependent on the patient accepting, understanding, and cooperating by adopting lifestyle changes that will avoid exposing the teeth to low-acid substances
Understanding the aetiological and risk factors for dental erosion is very important to determine the appropriate treatment method.
The study will review and evaluate the effect of preventive therapeutic products to address the challenges affecting the surfaces of enamel and dentin.
Most of the toothpastes and solutions available are useful against mild to moderate acid challenges, while severe cases are treated with F varnish or gel
