The development of the application, HyperIngest, is in partial fulfilment of the requirements needed to earn an MSc in Information Technology. To deliver the project, the team had organised themselves as a Scrum team which was the prescribed software developed paradigm chosen by the client. Technologies used include Java Programming language, JavaScript and Cassandra NoSQL database, and were all prescribed by the client. Java was used for developing the business logic which is the heart of the application. The interface was developed using React JS, which is a JavaScript library. The choice of Cassandra as a data storing system addresses the limitations of the traditional database systems in handling Big Data.
