Abstract
Abstract
Understanding the relationships between psychological contracts and employee behaviour is crucial for promoting organisational success in the constantly evolving telecommunications sector in Saudi Arabia. This study examines psychological contracts in the context of the telecommunications sector in Saudi Arabia. The study intended to investigate the effect of psychological contracts on employee loyalty, commitment, and organisational citizenship behaviour in considering the importance of psychological contracts in affecting organisational behaviour. Data was acquired through surveys from a sample of 100 employees using a quantitative research method and a cross-sectional study design. Correlation and regression analysis are both used in the study to examine the data. The results demonstrate that relational psychological contracts and employee engagement, loyalty, and citizenship behaviour have a strong correlation. The study analyses the data using correlation and regression analysis. The results indicate that relational psychological contracts and employee engagement, loyalty, and citizenship behaviour have a strong correlation. Transactional psychological contracts also have a positive association with commitment and loyalty. There are observed gender differences with male employees demonstrating higher levels of citizenship. Employees in the private sector engage in organisational citizenship practices to a larger extent than those in the public sector. The study has implications for enhancing commitment, loyalty, and organisational citizenship practices within Saudi Arabia's telecom industry and emphasises the significance of psychological contracts in shaping employee behaviour.
