Abstract
Artificial intelligence is an attempt to simulate human intelligence. Developers haves constantly inspired by our intelligence to develop algorithms for AI applications, nevertheless, the fundamental device that all the information is stored in is the memory, yet the machine memory system is designed to function through very different method than the human memory system. The following thesis investigates the human memory system by experimenting with two different human memory systems: The Aphantasa memory system that distinguishes itself by the absence of visual imagery, and the conventional memory system. Furthermore, investigate the reasons behind the flexible nature of the human memory system and suggests that it is due to the overlap between memory and imagination. By the end of the paper, we propose a theoretical model for storing the information that mimics the process of information storage in the human memory system.
