Description
This research investigates the emerging cybersecurity risks impacting Saudi Arabia’s financial sector and evaluates the effectiveness of global and national risk management frameworks, including NIST CSF, ISO 27005, UK NCSC, and SAMA. Through a systematic literature review (SLR), the study identifies key gaps in the adoption of international standards and assesses the applicability of these frameworks within the Saudi context. The findings highlight the increasing prevalence of AI-driven attacks, supply chain vulnerabilities, and ransomware threats, emphasising the need for a unified hybrid model that aligns with both international best practices and Vision 2030’s cybersecurity objectives.
