DOES EXPLICIT CUED SPEECH TRAINING AID DEAF CHILDREN IN SILENT PHONEME IDENTIFICATION?

Abstract

This study provides a further single case study giving evidence that six face-to-face sessions of explicit Cued Speech Training can improve phoneme identification accuracy in school6 aged deaf children. This suggests that some children in this group could benefit from CS through explicit teaching.
