Conducting an Experiment for Assessing the Relationship between Reward Uncertainty and Reward- Experiences
Abstract
Abstract
The primary purpose of the research work is to determine the relationship between
reward experience and reward uncertainty with the help of the experiment. The study conducted
an experiment to address the aims and objectives of the study in which the participants are
asked to taste the juice provide to them and rate it accordingly from not at all sweet to extremely
sweet. For generating relevant results for the study, the hypothesis is formulated. For testing
the hypothesis, data is collected and obtained from 12 participants who are further divided into
2 groups and their rating for the sweetness and likeness for the juice are obtained to gather their
data. The experiment is carried out to analyse if there is any relationship between the monetary
rewards received by participants and the sweetness rating of the juice. The results of the study
show that there is a significant relationship between the sweetness ratings of the juice and the
overall monetary rewards received by them. It highlights that reward experience, and reward
uncertainty is related to each other as a high level of uncertainty increases the desires to seek
rewards among people and shapes the reward-seeking behaviour and attitude of people to a
great extent.
