Abstract

The economic and social importance of the events industry has increased significantly in Saudi Arabia due to Saudi Vision 2030. This study investigated the impact of impacts of efficacy project management practices on the event’s success in Saudi Arabia. A sample of one hundred and two (102) from various professional backgrounds within the events management industry was performed concerning the performance of their businesses and how they are affected by the use of project management tools and techniques through events planning and risk management. Multiple regression analyses were employed for the testing of hypotheses relating to the research questions. The findings from the study have shown that the implementation of event planning and event risk management tools has implications for the success of an event. Therefore, this study recommends that the events managers should critically consider the use of project management tools in their planning and risk managing and that the event's sponsors should ensure that the event's plainer/manager is applying good project management practices into the events.
